Read our un-biased blogs about anything to do with tiles, tiling and flooring of all kinds.
We like to think that we have one of only a few un-biased blogs about all things related to tiles and flooring in the UK. Our blog posts don’t have any annoying adverts and offer genuine advice and tips for everyone from the first time DIY fan laying floor tiles to the professional looking for information about an unusual natural stone or specialist adhesive.
We know that if you are considering buying floor or wall tiles then you are probably refurbishing a bathroom or kitchen (or maybe a hallway or conservatory) so we offer interior design tips that we hope will help you if you are doing it yourself. Even if you are employing a professional to do the installation, they may not have great design skills and a bathroom or kitchen is a very personal space that you want to reflect your ideas and way of living in your own home, not just the latest trends or the products that the installer is familiar with.
We offer practical advice and design advice so that when you know what style of bathroom or kitchen you are having that you will compare our prices on tiles to our competitors. We know that you will be shopping around (much of it on the internet) but we won’t sell you tiles on the internet because we believe you have to see and touch a tile before making your purchase. All tiles vary by batch, particularly natural stone tiles, and we believe you should know exactly what you are getting.
We also offer friendly, professional advice over the phone or in our huge showroom in Watford (where we have a 20,000 sq.ft. warehouse). We have been in business for nearly 40 years so have plenty of advice to offer! We always endeavour to offer the very best value and service.
So take a look at our blog posts which are now part of our website at decortiles.co.uk and see if you find ideas that inspire you and tips that make installing tiles easier. We also have a gallery of bathroom photos to inspire. And whether you want to talk to us in person or just leave a comment we would love to hear from you…
